You might know him best as the vampire Edward from “Twilight,” but Robert Pattinson is full of life in his newest movie.
Tara Hitchcock sat down with Pattinson to talk about “Water for Elephants.”
When he first signed on for the movie, he thought it was a relatively small role.
“It’s strange. When you read the script, I hardly have any lines at all,”he said. ”I read it really quickly. I read it the same day I met Tai, the elephant. I really wanted to work with the elephant so I kind of rushed through the script.”
Pattinson shares much of his screen time with Tai, and the two developed a bond.
“There’s something about knowing that this creatures kind of knows you,” he said. ”You’re so proud of it. … There was a scene when we were both inside the train car and we both fell asleep together and she literally had her trunk around me. We were both fast asleep. I thought, ‘How many times can this happen in your life?’” Read more…
When Taylor Lautner hit the MTV VMAs back in September 2009, he turned up with a gift for his fans: an extended trailer for the second “Twilight” flick, “New Moon.” Although it seems like a lifetime ago, Twi-hards had yet to see Lautner transformed into a beefier Jacob Black.
On the VMA red carpet, Lautner told MTV News that fans would probably have a visceral reaction to seeing him as a shirtless werewolf for the first time. Now, with just a few days until our special “MTV First: Taylor Lautner,” which premieres Wednesday, April 13, on air and online, we’re reliving that shirtless unveiling, our #4 favorite moment with the “Abduction” star.
“I think they might start crying,” he quipped about fans’ likely reaction to seeing his physique. Read more…
Here’s the video interview of Uma Thurman talks about Robert Pattinson and Bel Ami with Collider.
4:45 Talks about Bel-Ami, says she plays an incredible character in a world of men. Robert Pattison plays a powerfully intelligent young man who works his way through society via the women. Her character is a woman who is fulfilling herself through her ability to maneuver through men.
The loyal Robert Pattinson fans out there are very likely already aware that the megastar will be showing off a lot more than just his acting talents in the upcoming film “Bel Ami.” To quote Pattinson himself, the steamy period drama will feature “a lot of my crack. … I think there’s quite a bit of nudity.”
When MTV News caught up with actress Natalia Tena (better known as Nymphadora Tonks to the “Harry Potter” fans) at the DVD premiere of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1″ on Monday, she revealed that she is one of several lovely ladies who gets hot and heavy with Pattinson in “Bel Ami.”
When asked if she shared scenes with “Twilight” heartthrob, Tena said, “I do. Some naughty scenes.”
Okay, confession time: We’ve all Googled ourselves, right? Just to see what’s out there, of course. But when you’re the star of a huge movie franchise, like, for example, the “The Twilight Saga,” there’s a lot more than a link to your Facebook profile and that local newspaper article you were quoted in that one time.
Unsurprisingly, Robert Pattinson is all over the internet. He’s even a meme (and he admits that Jumping Rob is “actually really funny”). Still, the “Twilight” hunk doesn’t make a habit of searching for himself, he confided when we caught up with him at the “Water for Elephants” press junket.
Rob said he agrees with co-star Reese Witherspoon, who says celebrities tend to engage in self-searching when they’re particularly glum. Read more…
