ROBERT Pattinson wants to destroy his heartthrob reputation.

The Twilight star is said to be considering a number of roles which would see him cast as unlikable and villainous characters.

“Robert is excited about moving on to other more diverse roles after Twilightand playing a villain is very appealing to him,” says a source close to the actor.

“One character he is fascinated with would see him playing a serial killer while there are others for villainous characters in major Hollywood blockbusters as well as an indy movie. Robert wants to show he has range to his acting and doesn’t want to be typecast as the hero or heartthrob.”

Recent reports claimed Rob and his girlfriend and Twilight costar Kristen Stewarthave been arguing over the hunky actor’s partying ways.

“Rob’s been partying hard,” said an insider.

“He’s been out almost every night at concerts and dinners with pals – and this is hot on the heels of him going out clubbing with Sienna Miller in London a few weeks ago.

“Kristen’s upset about his partying and ended up having a tearful showdown with him over the phone, saying he’s acting as if he finds life boring with her.

“She’s feeling insecure because she’s back home looking after their dog Bear and hasn’t seen him for weeks.

“But Rob thinks she’s blowing it all out of proportion.”

Here’s an interview quote of Robert Pattinson’s twilight co-star, BooBoo Stewart with Celebuzz has to talk about Robert being his favorite person to work with.

“Rob [Pattinson] is my favorite person to work with, he really surprised me. I didn’t expect him to be that funny, I thought he was going to be a quiet guy, but once you start talking to him he is hilarious, I couldn’t stop laughing,” says Stewart.

Twilight author, Stephenie Meyer, is going to produce Austenland, a Jane Austen-inspired movie that will be devoid of vampires. This project will be Meyer’s fourth attempt at producing a movie. Unfortunately for Twilight fans, it doesn’t seem like Stephenie has added either Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart to the cast, yet.

However, the current cast members associated with the project are some well-respected veteran and junior actors and actresses. Thus far some of those from the cast are James Callis, Jennifer Coolidge, J.J. Field, Bret McKenzie, Keri Russell, Jane Seymour and Rupert Vansittart.

Austenland will be about a woman who is obsessed with the Pride and Prejudice character Mr. Darcy. She eventually visits a Jane Austen themed resort called Austenland and while there she falls in love with the actor hired to play Mr. Darcy. It sounds like it will be a fairytale meets reality romantic comedy, doesn’t it?

It’s great to see that as the Twilight Saga ends, everyone attached with the project is moving on to other things. Seriously, with author Stephenie Meyer moving on and getting involved in other projects really signifies an end to the Twilight craze. It’s definitely bittersweet for many. However, wouldn’t it be great to see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart cast in another Meyer project? Yeah, it would.

Daniel also admitted he doesn’t think his fans view him in the same was as ‘Twilight’ devotees do Robert Pattinson because they have seen him grow up on screen.

He explained to the British edition of GQ magazine: “There’s more of a sexual energy behind ‘Twilight’ fans. Because people have mostly grown up with me, they tend to think of me as an older brother kind of figure. Whereas I think Rob is the sex symbol. And also, I guess, he’s out there more than I am, going to parties and things.

“I think everyone goes to more parties than me, so it’s not really a big competition.”
