We can’t help but think The Sun wanted news about Simon Cowell, wanted news about Robert Pattinson, and, when nothing materialized, decided to throw the two together.
Today came a story (picked up everywhere) claiming Cowell has approached Pattinson “to sign a major record deal,” and that Pattinson “can basically write his own cheque.” What’s more, The Sun insists, Cowell’s offer has triggered a bidding war among record labels for Pattinson’s musical talents.
“Twilight fans are such an excitable bunch I’m wary of even letting this out the bag for fear of the hysteria it will unleash,” the item’s author begins, immediately before stirring the pot with no word from Pattinson’s side or Cowell’s. In fact, the only “source” who does speak supplies the story with an easy exit, saying, “Robert is reluctant to be turned into a pop star… He is a bit wary of signing up with Cowell who is, of course, associated with X Factor and pop.” Read more…
Rumor has it, Robert Pattinson has been approached by “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell to ink a major record deal. It is also reported that Simon is not the only person who is interested to sign the “Twilight” actor as there are other recording companies which pursue him.
A bidding war reportedly has taken place with the Edward Cullen depicter being reluctant to seal a deal with Simon. “He is a bit wary of signing up with Cowell who is, of course, associated with ‘The X Factor’ and pop,” a source said as quoted by The Sun.
Singing is not something new for Robert Pattinson as he has contributed two songs in the first installment of “Twilight” movie series. Earlier in March 2009, he revealed his desire to release an indie album, saying he is not afraid if the record fails because he “got nothing to lose.”

Buck up, “Twilight” fans — when the “Hope for Haiti” relief telethon airs tonight, Robert Pattinson will not be manning the phones, despite reports to the contrary. Rather, he’ll support the effort with an appearance out of London, a spokesman for MTV confirms.
Taylor Lautner, however, will be part of the Los Angeles-based phone crew, which includes more than 100 other celebrity names.

Robert Pattinson and his Twilight Saga co-star Kristen Stewart are finally publicly dating.
Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson, who has been dating his co-star Kristen Stewart for over a year, has decided the pair no longer need to keep their romance quiet.
The couple have decided to openly date when they return to film the fourth movie, Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, later this year.
A source said: “Rob and Kristen are very happy, and everyone that’s part of the franchise is so happy for them. They don’t feel the need to hide it anymore.” Read more…
The headline is almost too much! How can R-Patz possibly be any sexier?!
But according to U.S. publication Life & Style, who obtained The Script of Pattinson’s new film ‘Bel Ami’, Pattinson’s sex status is going to reach another level! Hates Canada
R-Patz plays journalist Georges Duroy in the film, who climbs the social ladder by sleeping with a series of prominent women played by Christna Ricci, Uma Thurman and Kristin Scott-Thomas. Read more…
An item in Life & Style claiming that the romance between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will finally be revealed publicly when the “Twilight” cast convenes to film Breaking Dawn next fall has triggered enormous speculation (again) about the paparazzi-dogged couple.
While it’s nothing new for outlets to buzz incessantly about Robsten, what caught Gossip Cop’s attention this time was the implication that cast members plan to be open about a relationship that, until now, had to be kept “under wraps.”
“Everyone that’s part of the franchise is so happy for [Pattinson and Stewart],” an “insider” tells Life & Style. “They don’t feel the need to hide it anymore.” Read more…

Twilight Saga franchise star Robert Pattinson has finally found a studio film to sink his teeth into. He’s in talks to star in Water for Elephants, the Richard LaGravanese-scripted adaptation of the Sara Gruen novel that Fox 2000 is putting together with Francis Lawrence directing. Reese Witherspoon is already attached, and the studio is courting Sean Penn to return from a big screen sabbatical by playing the other lead in the Depression-era romantic triangle. From ‘Eclipse’ to ‘The Last Airbender’ to Sundance premieres, here are the 10 most anticipated films of 2010 that feature ‘Twilight’ castmembers.
While the “Twilight Saga” may be giving us some of the biggest blockbusters of its time, most of the series’ stars are indie actors at heart. It’s no surprise, then, that this week’s Sundance Film Festival will unveil three highly anticipated films for Twilighters: “The Runaways,” “Welcome to the Rileys” and “Skateland.”
In 2010, however, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. From blockbusters to indies, quirky love stories to serious dramas, the “Twilight” gang is branching out. With that in mind, here are the top 10 “Twilight”-related movies of 2010 (release dates subject to change, of course). How many will you be lining up to see?
“Remember Me” (March 12)
All of Hollywood is asking one simple question these days: Can Rob Pattinson open a non-”Twilight” movie? We’ll find out soon enough, as he stars alongside Emilie de Ravin in this romantic drama that similarly involves family, tragedy and issues of eternal love — but minus the bloodsucking.
“Eclipse” (June 30)
It’s the big kahuna, the top dog, the whole enchilada. And so far, virtually nothing has been released that gives us any indication of what David Slade’s “Twilight” movie will be like. Who are we kidding? We’re there anyway.
