He’s the object of millions of girls’ affection, but Robert Pattinson is uneasy about hopping into a relationship given his newfound fame.

The “Twilight” stud told press, “I’m always really worried about ruining their lives, especially with people that aren’t famous. It’s such a massive change. I’m kind of a paranoid wreck.”

He continued, “It’s getting photographed.  You have people who analyze your facial expressions to the tiniest degree. So you’re just trying to avoid getting photographed. You’re like, ‘Jesus, you can’t win.’” Read more…

Summit Entertainment is presenting four new titles to buyers at Cannes this year including two new Summit productions – a romantic drama starring Twilight sensation Robert Pattinson and a generational love story set in Italy starring Amanda Seyfried.

Pattinson is starring in Remember Me which is shooting this summer in New York while the actor is between Twilight sequels New Moon, which wraps at the end of May, and Eclipse, which starts in August.

Allen Coulter, the award-winning TV director (The Sopranos, Damages) who made his feature debut with Hollywoodland in 2006, is directing the film and Nick Osborne and Trevor Engelson of Underground Films (License To Wed) are producing.

Summit co-chairman and CEO Patrick Wachsberger wouldn’t go into too much detail on the plot but described the film as this generation’s Love Story. A female lead is in the process of being cast, while Rachel Getting Married writer Jenny Lumet has finished the latest draft of the screenplay. Read more…

It’s funny how fame can strike those least likely. The last time I met Robert Pattinson was in late 2004. It was on the set of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, in which he played the murdered Hogwarts pupil Cedric Diggory. A shy, gawky 18-year-old, this boy from Barnes did not seem a star in the making. Nor did he look “exotically beautiful”, as The New York Times dubbed him upon viewing his career-making performance as the lovelorn vampire Edward Cullen in the recent teen sensation Twilight.

For his brooding portrayal of Cullen, Pattinson was suddenly hailed as the new James Dean, a risky mantle for any young male actor to inherit (particularly if they’re from England). Not that he’s done little to dispel this after admitting that he aped the Giant star’s vocal patterns to play the part. “Everyone loves a bit of James Dean,” he told one reporter, explaining he used the same trick for “chatting up girls”. This month’s US edition of GQ magazine even has him channelling his inner Dean in a photo shoot that highlights just how gym sessions for Twilight helped sculpt his stubble-clad face. Read more…

Talking about rumors of him dating co-star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson says they are really “ridiculous”. “It becomes a joke,” he told Entertainment Tonight on the set of the “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon” on Thursday, April 23.

“There was some magazine the other day about me and Kristen, and when you look at it and realize it’s on the front of a magazine…You realize that people are actually reading that even though how ridiculous it is,” he added. “It’s really bizarre.” Read more…
